Whether you need help growing an existing business or starting a new one, the ECGC Women's Business Center can help. We provide a wide variety of essential services that every novice business owner should take advantage of.   ECGC offers start-up assistance and nurturing, business consultation and training, access to financing, networking opportunities, referrals to other resources and a ready-made network of contacts.

Access to Capital

The ECGC Women’s Business Center helps the small business community to access all the services offered by the ECGC WBC. This may include:

-Access to Capital
Offers financial assistance for start-up and established businesses, leveraging capital to achieve the best results at a lower cost.

-Women-owned business certification
Enables entrance into programs designed to assist Women-owned Business Enterprise firms.

-Women-owned procurement assistance
Offers guidance on specialized selling opportunities to state and federal government agencies. 


Client Consultation

The ECGC Women's Business Center provides one-on-one professional consulting at no charge to those seeking advice on start-up, expansion or stabilization strategies for their business. 

Counselors conduct an in-depth entrepreneurial needs assessments with each client, followed by needs-based business counseling and ongoing assistance to help clients access information and resources including:

  • Creation of a viable business plan
  • Preparation of financing packages
  • Operations & Management
  • Development of effective marketing strategies
  • Legal assistance
  • Specialized technical assistance
  • Targeted programs to promote start-up, business development and expansion.

Marketing & Advertising

Advertising and marketing are important tools to make your business a success. The ECGC Women's Business Center brings Marketing Technical Assistance to the forefront.

Several areas that our staff can assist with include:

-Internet marketing
The Internet is increasingly important for growing a business in today's economy. This program brings entrepreneurs up to speed with the latest technology. Frequently addressed topics include computer technology, business Internet use, website development issues and website marketing and sales.

-Marketing plans
A marketing plan is a written document that details the necessary actions to achieve one or more marketing objectives. Marketing plans cover between one and five years and may be part of an overall business plan.

-Promotional packaging and image
Customer's opinions can be influenced positively or negatively by a business' image or packaging. The ECGC WBC assists clients with promotional materials necessary to the success of their business. This may include a business logo, business cards and brochures to name a few.


Workshops & Training

Knowledge is power, especially in today's world of small business ownership. The ECGC WBC offers workshops and seminars that provide a solid business foundation of proper practices, procedures and philosophies from which to build your successful business.
